Know Your Food Program Empowers Guests with Nutritional Choices Online and
NEEDHAM, Mass., Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ — Fresh City, a pioneer in the fast
casual dining, continues their commitment to challenge guests to “Live Life to
the Freshest” with the launch of its new Know Your Food nutritional program.
This innovative and exciting initiative consists of an online nutritional
guide as well as in-store kiosks allowing guests to look up nutritional
information and suggested substitutions to menu items before ordering. “This
program allows people who steadfastly follow a particular dietary life style
to have a wider variety of options and flavors with minimal changes to our
standard recipes,” explains Director of Sales and Marketing.
The online portion of the program is available at
http://www.freshcity.com. Guests are encouraged to log on to find a wealth of
nutritional information on Fresh City’s menu items. The Know Your Food site
is broken down into several categories allowing guests to specifically address
their own unique nutritional needs, including: lower fat, higher fiber, fewer
calories, lower sodium, lower cholesterol, less saturated fat, less
carbohydrates, and higher protein.
Fresh City currently offers a menu loaded with a fresh variety of fruits,
meats and vegetables. “Empowering our guests to choose what they want is a
central theme in our restaurant. With this new initiative we provide the
appropriate nutritional information in addition to our all natural products;
the decision is then up to the guest to eat as healthy as they choose,” states
Larry Reinstein, President and CEO of Fresh City. “Consumers are savvier than
ever, they know what they want. It’s our job to provide the tools and the
knowledge for our guests to choose the items that coincide with their
lifestyle and discriminating taste. Most importantly, it’s about fresh
ingredients, fresh quality and fresh flavors.”
The Know Your Food nutritional kiosks are currently located in Warwick,
RI, Newton, MA, and Fresh City’s newest location in North Andover, MA. The
kiosks are scheduled to be in all New England locations by early 2006. For
