FutureLogic Amends Lawsuit Against TransAct Technologies, Inc.

Glendale, Calif.–August 4, 2005–FutureLogic, Inc., a leading manufacturer of thermal printers for the gaming, parking, POS, medical and agricultural industries, today announced it has amended its claims in its lawsuit against TransAct Technologies, Inc. in United States District Court for the Central District of California to state two additional claims for declaratory relief:

1. That FutureLogic, Inc.’s products do not infringe on TransAct Technologies, Inc.’s U.S. Patent
no. 6,924,903 for dual-port printing technology, and;
2. That TransAct Technologies, Inc.’s U.S. Patent no. 6,924,903 is invalid.

“TransAct’s recent patent, subsequent press release, and immediate threats to enforce that patent in communications with FutureLogic’s customers have forced us to amend our current litigation against TransAct,” says Anthony DiMarco, President & Chief Executive Officer of FutureLogic, Inc, “We welcome the chance to resolve this matter in open court and are confident that FutureLogic will prevail.”
