FutureLogic GEN2 Printers Win Platinum Award for Most Innovative Gaming Technology Products of 2004
Glendale, CA-June 14, 2005-FutureLogic, Inc., the leading manufacturer of thermal ticket printers for cashless gaming, announced today that the FutureLogic GEN2â„¢ and GEN2-VSTâ„¢ printers have received the top honor, a Platinum Award, in the Top 20 Most Innovative Gaming Technology Products 2004 awards.
Attendees of the recent Gaming Technology Summit in Las Vegas, which attracted more than 400 gaming executives and financial analysts, selected FutureLogic printers over all other hardware, system software and gaming products nominated.
The GEN2 printer and its vertical format counterpart, the GEN2-VST, tied for first place in the competition and were jointly awarded the Platinum honor. Other honors included the Gold Award for Cyberview Technology’s GLI Downloadable Games Platform, and the Silver Award for Compudigm’s Gaming Power Suite.
Casino Journal’s Top 20 Most Innovative New Gaming Technology Products Awards are recognized as being among the most prestigious honors bestowed on gaming products or services. Gaming vendors were invited to submit product nominations for their newest, most creative products and services, and a panel of four expert judges evaluated this year’s entries to choose the 20 finalists. Attendees to this year’s Gaming Technology Summit selected the winners from the list of finalists.
“FutureLogic is honored to receive this award,” said Eric Meyerhofer, Vice President of Engineering and Product Development of FutureLogic, Inc. “This type of industry recognition reinforces our belief in and commitment to working with game manufacturers, regulatory agencies, and casinos to set new standards for reliable, multi-function printers and develop new technology options for in-casino marketing initiatives.”
Both the GEN2 printer and the GEN2-VST, a new vertical configuration printer designed for use with space-saving slim-top machines, bring numerous technologically advanced features to the gaming market, including the ProMatrixâ„¢ couponing system. ProMatrix is a flexible promotional system, which upon regulatory approval enables proactive marketing functions on the casino floor - by turning ordinary slot tickets into colorful, eye-catching coupons.
The GEN2 printer has received several gaming industry awards, including Casino Journal’s Top 20 Most Innovative Gaming Technology Products 2003. The GEN2-VST printer was also awarded one of nine Gaming and Technology Awards presented by Global Gaming Business (GGB) magazine in 2004, and was the only hardware component to be recognized in the awards program.
FutureLogic printers are used by more than 30 gaming OEMs worldwide and are the standard default printer for International Game Technology (NYSE:IGT). Other customers include Alliance Gaming Corp. (NYSE:AGI), WMS Industries Inc. (NYSE: WMS), Atronic Americas LLC, Aristocrat Technologies, Konami Gaming Inc., Multimedia Games Inc. and Spielo.
